Our products inherently reduce energy, but on top of that our insulation products and systems are amongst the most sustainable; with responsibly sourced wood for our Wood Wool and high levels of recycled content in our Mineral Wool, which was the first to receive Gold for Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort Gold certification in 2010. Furthermore, more than 50% of our products are supported by an Environmental Product Declaration and other performance certification, proving that we are the pioneer in product sustainability and that our insulation contributes to greener, more sustainable buildings.

Examples of our products in Green Buildings

Our products have been installed in many green buildings certified by one of the rating initiatives, such as LEED, BREEAM, HQE or DGNB. In a non-residential build in Germany, we contributed a combination of Heraklith wood wool insulation boards in a rail system and glass wool supports to meet the requirements of the planners to make Bülow Carré, a modern LEED platinum-certified Green Building.

Our products also help make residential buildings ‘greener’. In the UK our ThermoShell® External Wall Insulation (EWI) system was installed in a sustainable housing retrofit.

Our Headquarters in North America is also LEED certified, showing that we lead by example!
