World leaders need to act now to cut emissions before it will be too late. To play its part in limiting global temperature increase to 2 degrees, the sector must reduce significantly emissions by 2050 and where better to start than buildings? Green buildings are the key solution.

In the framework of the coming COP21, the World Green Building Council (WGBC), an organisation that Knauf Insulation supports through membership of local green building councils across the globe, has launched a new campaign “Better Build Green” to promote how we can build bigger and better while tackling climate change. The campaign highlights how green buildings can tackle greenhouse gas emissions by one third but also create healthier homes, provide jobs and safeguard local communities.

The campaign will also be present at the Buildings Day, the first dedicated event on buildings at the Conference of the Parties in Paris (COP21) in few weeks, where world leaders will draw up a new international climate agreement to keep on the path of limiting global temperature increases to below 2°C by the end of the century.
